10 Objections to Creating a Healthy, Abundant Life.
1) I don’t have the personal knowledge to make the correct lifestyle choices.
No one does. We are all exposed to the same marketing on our TV and radio and our health care professionals are not taught how to help guide us to true health. Our general culture promotes “convenience” over “healthy”. But you have the power at any time to stop, reevaluate, learn and make better choices that put you ahead of the masses towards a life that is truly worthy of you.
If you are open to learning, our personalized wellness curriculum will guide you along an easy path. Our programs are structured to offer easy simple progressive steps that ultimately change the way your think and what you believe. The choices you make now will determine your future dependency on a broken health care system, versus independence, leading you towards a rewarding life full of energy, vibrant living, and true inner happiness.
2) I don’t have the time to take appropriate care of myself.
We all live in a world that gives each of us 24 hours in a day. What we do with that time is a personal decision based on values, real or perceived. If you do not take time to care for yourself, you will have to take time to try and repair yourself. Being proactive and attending to daily maintenance are required for optimal health. It takes no more time to eat correctly than poorly. Proper exercise requires no more than approximately 30 minutes, 3-4 times per week.
If you’re honest with yourself, you recognize it really is based on what you judge as a valuable use of your time. So . . . TV? Or a thriving, abundant life? Give yourself the opportunity to learn HOW and suspend old tired beliefs that your life is somehow busier than everyone else’s life. You can make change. You can choose a new direction.
3) My family won’t be on board with the changes I will need to make.
I recognize this sounds like a silly thought but also realize it is a real concern for some. You would certainly think that all family members who love you would be on board to support your desire for a better existence. But realize that your new direction may be threatening to them if THEY are not ready for change. If you love each other then they will make room for your needs and over time you most likely will alter perceptions. I
In some situations a spouse or other family member may be negative toward your new enthusiasm. This usually comes down to a lack of understanding of what your lifestyle program entails as well as some doubt as to whether this approach will really work.
It may help to steer these family members to our website, www.huberpm.com to view some of the incredible testimonials from our patients, as well as many educational articles to gain insight. Without taking the time to learn about our programs and proven success it is only human nature to be cautious. Once familiarizing themselves, you will not only get support, but an accountability partner to help ensure your success.
4) Eating right is too hard and expensive.
If you have not been eating right, you should already understand how expensive eating wrong can be. Health deteriorates and medical bills escalate with each year that these poor choices are made. I have literally compared organic whole foods to their conventional counterparts and found the cost difference in most cases to be less than 10%. Buying “special” gluten free products is not the same as buying whole food. NOTHING in health care is cheaper than eating whole foods and eating good nutrition.
You want expensive? Try scheduling an appointment with an oncologist, heart specialist or other health care specialist. The drugs alone will cost you thousands of dollars each year. To say that eating healthy is expensive is to not understand how it is done. Lets us help. We will show to you and prove to you that this is EASY and AFFORDABLE. We will literally walk you through the grocery store isle by isle and demonstrate what a healthy diet looks like, how to prepare it and how inexpensive it can be. And then when you start feeling like a million bucks you will never want to turn back.
5) I can’t afford a lifestyle program or hire a health coach.
Most people recognize the importance of an education, whether this is a high school, college or even an online education. This program is an educational curriculum that will allow you to find a vibrant and healthy life dramatically reducing the risk of any disease. In this day and age, its simply too expensive to get sick. The return on this financial investment, much like a college education, will ensure a more secure financial future.
Although there are situations in life where funding higher education can seem impossible, we witness people everyday finding solutions to “get it done”. These individuals simply think differently. They do not accept anything less than their God given potential. I am suggesting that your health should be viewed as at least as valuable as your financial situation. What value is wealth if you do not have the health and vitality to enjoy it. At Virtuoso Wellness, we work with each individual to overcome any financial obstacles. We have solutions to allow those on fixed budgets and retired to easily move forward. We pride ourselves in keeping costs low as we feel that everyone is entitled to good health and we refuse to be out of reach for anyone. No matter what your situation is we will always find a solution. Always.
6) I’m afraid that proper lifestyle changes might isolate me from my friends and family.
It is true that not all of your friends will share your newly found optimism toward taking control of your health. Friends who do not place high priority on their health are often critical of healthy lifestyle choices. Once again they may feel threatened. They may feel that they will have to give up their comfort zone. They will have to watch you lose weight, gain energy, feel and sleep better and sometimes that pulls jealousy out into the open. We have seen friends try to sabotage patients. Anyone that doesn't have YOUR best interest in mind may not actually be a friend. The bottom line is those who truly care for you will support your decision to place your health as a priority. In fact, your success may convince them to follow your lead and you may as a result save their life.
7) My doctor may not approve.
I will always be open and willing to work with any doctor or health professional you currently have. It’s when we work together to optimize health and improve lifestyle choices that you truly can discover your ideal heath. Our program often results in reducing and/or completely eliminating medications that become unnecessary when you become healthy. A doctor’s main concern and intent should always be to work towards optimizing your health. You are ultimately responsible for your own health and the final decision of any recommended path is always up to you. We are here to help and we more than happy to speak with your doctor on your behalf to help clarify the overall mission and approach.
8) I don’t have the self discipline to make permanent changes.
Self discipline is not a train that we are born with, but one that is developed over time through life experience. Discipline coincides with positive experience. In other words, as your actions result in positive changes you will be inclined to continue these actions. One could look at this as positive habits or simply, discipline. Self discipline is also strengthened through accountability held by loved ones, a friend or a mentor. Lastly, our program is so successful because we have woven behavioral therapy into everything we do which will teach you over time how to better control of your decision making ability. All you need to be truly successful is to desire change and be willing to learn. One step at a time, one day at a time, your world will change
9) What happens if I commit to a lifestyle program and then hate the experience and give up?
Life is a series of ups and downs. We do not always enjoy the duties required for the end result we are seeking. It’s funny how these duties or actions can initially seem to be difficult or “no fun”, but later take on an uplifting emotion. This is because we come to recognize the most meaningful successes we have in life came from such actions. Having a successful marriage; raising children; optimizing our health and becoming financially independent all require discipline and actions that sometimes have us wanting to “give up and quit”. Those of us who continue to play the game are allowed the pleasures of earned rewards. We will be with you every step of the way enabling you to follow through. We will plant the seeds of success and we will nourish and support you. It is our job and our tremendous ability to show you how to love it.
10) I don’t have the personal confidence to take action.
Very few of us have a natural born instinct of confidence. Confidence grows from continually taking action even when we are fearful. It is natural to fear the unknown. Doubt by definition is simply the lack of positive action. You only need to do one thing to be successful here . . . make a decision to be open to change. That's it. Once you decide you are willing ignore old disabling beliefs and simply be open to new ideas then we will take it from there. As you gain success (and you will) then your natural confidence will rise. You will impress yourself and be pleased with your newfound actions. With each day you will grow and become more amazed at your newfound inner strength. Why? Because it is real and genuine. Its already in you and it wants to be expressed.
We are here to mentor you and support you. We do not judge or criticize. We offer an environment that anyone at any level can feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. You will make small mistakes along the way, it’s only human to do so, its expected, almost mandatory and we will show you how to bounce back. As you become a veteran in the area of wellness, you will become very confident.
If you are ready for change then you are ready for our Virtuoso Wellness program. It has no equal and is devistatingly effective. Interested?
