Payment
Payment is required at the time of service. We do not participate with any insurance plans. We do provide a traditional “superbill” with appropriate insurance medical codes that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Your insurance will cover this service under the terms of your contract us an “out of network provider.” You are entitled to coverage by your insurance plan under that category.
Lab Test Costs
Most traditional blood lab tests are covered by your insurance plan regardless of the ordering physician. We recommend that you check with your insurance provider to better understand any restrictions or personal obligation that applies to you under your current plan. We will occasionally use peripheral lab services for specialized testing and the price of those tests will be clearly established prior to ordering.
We also offer discounted lab services for anyone wishing to pay directly. This is often a less expensive option than going through your insurance carrier, especially if you have a high deductible plan. Find out more information on labs here.
Lab Results Review
Your lab results will be reviewed with you in detail at the time of your next appointment. Your personalized treatment plan is not based solely on the lab results. The results are one of many we consider in developing your plan. We make decisions based on a comprehensive review of your current clinical symptoms coupled with your current lifestyle, your medications, use of supplements, and lab results. Integrating all of these pieces of information allows us to make the most accurate and helpful recommendations.
A copy of your lab results is always available for you on your portal following clinician review. We encourage you to share these results with your primary care physician or any health care providers involved in your care. If your doctor is unfamiliar with the labs drawn, we would be happy to speak with them regarding their interpretation.
Appointment Cancellation
We understand unplanned events do occur and we are here to help you if the need arises. We kindly ask for a 48-hour cancellation notice so we can accommodate other patients who are waiting for an appointment. Any in-office appointment can also be turned into a phone appointment.
